This kind of expanded metal is widely used in plaster project.It provides an excellent plaster base.
The permanent plate holds the plate approximately 1/4" away from solid surfaces to aid the stucco to the plate.So the pleastering is very solid and flat and can also keep away from cracking.
A Self-Furred Metal Lath is ideal for interior and exterior use over sheathing, masonry and other solid surfaces,
The dimple self-furring plaster base is manufactured with evenly spaced indentations that hold the metal lath ¼” away from the surface to be plastered. Self-furring metal lath is available with or without a Grade-D asphalt paper-backing, breather sheet.
27"*96" G60 standard diamond galvanized flat rib expanded metal lath interior exterior stucco is manufactured by slitting and stretching galvanized steel to form small opening to allow the keying of plaster.
Metal lath provides a lightweight and easily attachable base for plaster application.Made from expanded steel,the lath generally is applied flat across the stud plane and attached with staples,nails or screws.
The opening in the lath enable plaster to key around the metal to assure a secure bond and a flat,smooth surface of the plaster application.
